Experts & Methodology

Capability is only as credible as the people delivering it.

You've read what we do. This page shows you who does it, how we actually work, and what makes a Wisdom Monk engagement different from everything else available.

How We Actually Work

What happens between first conversation and final outcome.

Most advisory firms describe what they do. Few describe how. Here's the actual process — what happens at each stage and why it's designed that way.

Stage 01
The Diagnostic Conversation

Before we propose anything, we spend 30–45 minutes understanding the actual problem. Not the stated problem — the real one beneath it. We listen for what's not being said as much as what is.

We ask about recent decision failures, not generic capability gaps
We identify who in the organisation creates communication friction
We map the gap to a specific business consequence
Stage 02
The Assessment

Our CEFR-aligned, scenario-based diagnostic gives us an objective baseline. Participants aren't told their "score" — they receive a gap map with three specific development actions.

5 dimensions: presence, meeting effectiveness, influence, thinking clarity, alignment
Scenario-based, not abstract — real workplace situations
Results mapped to roles, not generic profiles
The Intervention Design
Stage 03

We design the programme after the diagnostic — never before. Every module, scenario, and roleplay is built around what the assessment revealed. Participants work on their actual gaps, not a curriculum we prepared in advance.

Programme structure finalised after diagnostic results, not before
Industry-specific scenarios and real case material
Experts matched to the specific gap being addressed
Delivery & Real-Time Adjustment
Stage 04

Sessions are practice-heavy, not lecture-heavy. The ratio is typically 30% framework, 70% application. Experts adjust in real-time based on how participants respond — not to a fixed slide deck.

Role-plays and live simulations, not presentations
Feedback given immediately, not in a written report days later
Participants leave with tools they use the next morning
The Diagnostic Explained

Why we built our own — and what makes it different.

Off-the-shelf assessments tell you personality type. Ours tells you exactly where your communication is losing you business.

Generic assessments
Tell you you're an INTJ. Suggest you "work on empathy." No business consequence mapped.
Wisdom Monk Diagnostic
Tells you which of 5 specific dimensions is creating friction — and what that friction is costing meetings, decisions, and stakeholder confidence.
Training-first model
Runs a programme. Gives a certificate. Has no idea what changed.
Diagnostic-first model
Runs the diagnostic. Designs the intervention. Re-assesses post-programme. Knows exactly what shifted and by how much.
The 5 Dimensions
01
Executive Presence

How authority lands before words are finished. Whether a leader's manner creates confidence or doubt in the room.

CXOBoard
02
Meeting Effectiveness

Whether conversations produce decisions or noise. Whether the leader ends meetings with clarity or ambiguity.

All Levels
03
Stakeholder Influence

Ability to move boards, investors, and clients. Converting sceptics. Creating certainty in rooms that need to say yes.

Senior Leaders
04
Structured Thinking

Clarity of logic under pressure. Whether ideas are communicated in ways that land cleanly or need repeated clarification.

ManagersFounders
05
Team Alignment

How consistently the leader creates shared direction. Whether communication builds momentum or requires repeated follow-up to produce action.

A Real Engagement

What six weeks with Wisdom Monk looks like.

A typical B2B engagement for a mid-size team. Timelines vary — this is illustrative of the depth and sequence.

1
Week 1
Diagnostic Conversation & Context Mapping

30–45 min call with the engagement lead (typically HR Head, L&D, or Founder). We map the communication problem to a specific business consequence — not a general capability wish-list. We agree on success criteria before the engagement begins.

30–45 min callSuccess criteria agreed upfrontNo proposal until context is clear
2
Week 2
Participant Diagnostic

Each participant completes the 15–21 question scenario-based diagnostic. We analyse results across the team — identifying individual gaps and collective patterns. The programme design follows directly from this data.

15–21 questionsIndividual + team analysisGap map produced
3
Week 3
Programme Design & Experts Briefing

We finalise the programme structure based on diagnostic results. Experts are briefed on the specific team profile. Industry-relevant scenarios and roleplays are built. This is the week we do the work that most firms skip.

Custom curriculumIndustry scenariosExperts matched to gap
4
Weeks 4–5
Delivery

Sessions run with a 30/70 framework-to-practice ratio. Participants spend most time in live exercises, not listening. Experts adjust in real-time. Feedback is immediate and specific — not a written report three days later.

Practice-heavyReal-time feedbackImmediate application
5
Week 6
Debrief & Post-Assessment

A second diagnostic is run. We compare pre- and post-programme results to show what shifted and by how much. The engagement lead receives a summary that maps behavioural change to the business consequence we identified in Week 1.

The Wisdom Monk Difference

Three things we do that most advisory firms don't.

We diagnose before we propose

No proposal before we understand the gap. No programme before we run the diagnostic. This isn't a policy — it's how we ensure what we build actually solves something.

Standard firm: sends a brochure and proposes a programme
Wisdom Monk: 30-min diagnostic conversation first, always

We measure what shifts — not what was delivered

Anyone can deliver a workshop and hand out a certificate. We compare pre- and post-diagnostic results to document exactly what changed in behaviour — and connect it to a business outcome.

Standard firm: "participants found it valuable" (post-session survey)
Wisdom Monk: diagnostic gap score before and after

We prioritise fit over volume

We take on engagements where we're confident we can move the needle — not every enquiry that comes in. That selectivity is what keeps our delivery standard consistent across every client we work with.

Standard firm: optimises for bookings and utilisation
Wisdom Monk: takes on work where the gap is clear and solvable
Engagement Formats

Five formats. Every one diagnostic-led.

Not a proposal.

Tell us what's getting in the way — in a meeting, a presentation, a leadership team, or a specific conversation. We'll tell you whether we can help, and how.
